Just recently the international conference “Future Directions in Feminist Phenomenology,” organized by Helen Fielding, took place at Western University (Ontario) from May 23-25, 2013. It was a great success and an amazing intellectual and lively experience. Never before was it that big, and never before was is that interdisciplinary. Many new issues, as for example masculinity issues, issues on health or feminist bio-phenomenology, could be presented to the audience and among the conference participants, to name just some few. The truly international conference speakers came all over from Canada, the United States, the Netherlands, Austria, Germany, Hungary, and Israel. It has demonstrated convincingly that there is future for and enormous potentional in feminist phenomenology. For more on the conference, see Conference Poster and Conference Program.
